Conditions Connected by Metabolic Health

-Blood sugar imbalance

-Chronic inflammation

-Autoimmune patterns

-Cardiometabolic risk

-Neurological health concerns

Why Metabolism Matters More Than We Realized

Energy production, insulin signaling, and inflammation are closely linked through cellular metabolism and immune regulation.

-Mitochondrial dysfunction drives inflammation. Cells generate energy mainly through glucose and fatty acid metabolism in mitochondria (cell powerhouses). Efficient energy production requires healthy mitochondrial function and proper nutrient availability.

-Inflammation impairs insulin signaling. Insulin helps cells absorb glucose to produce ATP. When insulin binds to its receptor, it triggers a cascade that enhances glucose uptake and glycogen storage. Disruption here leads to insulin resistance.

-Inflammation isn't just immune defense, it's also a metabolic state. Chronic low-grade inflammation releases cytokines which can impair insulin signaling and mitochondrial efficiency.
